Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Managing retail sales channels within the defined territory of British Columbia and Alberta, the account manager will have three critical areas of responsibility:
 
  1. Driving Sales Results within the Retail Sales Channel
  • The account manager will be responsible for providing an annual sales plan including budget forecast by customer within the defined sales territory.
  • The account manager will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets by customer within the defined territory.
  • The account manager will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships within the defined territory with both current and prospective new Retail partners.
  • The account manager will be responsible for providing weekly logs outlining customer visits and key activities within the customer base using the companies CRM system.
  1. Coordinating and Executing Industry Leading Training with Retail Partners throughout the defined territory
  • Via the new TRUE Hockey Technology Academy, the account manager will be responsible for product training across all categories within the TRUE hockey product portfolio with retail partners within the defined territory.
  • The account manager will be responsible for ensuring that retail partner staff have a thorough understanding of all product and messaging to maintain a consistent brand voice at the store level.
  1. Driving Tactical Marketing Support with Retail Partners throughout the defined territory
  • In conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager – North America, the account manager will be responsible for helping define a coordinated field promotion plan with key partners within the defined territory to help promote and facilitate product demos at key times in the sales cycle.
  • The account manager will be responsible for ensuring that all POS items are properly installed and have optimized floor placement in all cases for retail partners within the defined territory.
  • The account manager working in conjunction with the Trade marketing Manager – North America will help coordinate annual Launch campaigns with key retail partners within the defined territory.
  • The account manager will be required to gather market intel and retail/consumer feedback on all parts of the business including but not limited to:  competitor pricing strategies, product and industry trends.
 
 
Required Qualifications, Attributes & Experience:
 
Successful candidates will have a mix of educational, experiential, and personality attributes:
 
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in account management – specifically in a sales, sales training and field promotion capacity.  Hockey industry experience is considered a significant asset.
·       Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Must be a highly organized & detailed oriented.
  • Ability to clearly define, prioritize and track the tasks and objectives for a defined group of customers.
  • Experience in a team environment in a high growth situation where effective resource allocation was critical to success considered an asset.
  • Ability to work successfully with all levels throughout the organization.
  • Should be a strong team player and be able to foster team cohesiveness in others. Must be capable and comfortable crossing organizational boundaries.
  • Strong knowledge of hockey equipment and the industry is considered an asset.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft office programs including but not limited to: Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or an equivalent CRM system considered an asset.
 
 
Education:
 
  • University Degree or College Diploma Required. 
  • Degree in Business Administration/Marketing considered an asset.
