Product Manager (Golf – Pro Sports) Including Women’s Athleisure
Position Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various internal and external departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The Product Manager works closely with the Marketing and Sales Teams to identify market requirements for current and future products and find innovative solutions. Working closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager in North America to develop and implement a go-to-market strategy. The Product Manager will play a critical role in product market research, product launches and life cycle.

Position Responsibilities
Market Research
  • Understands todays modern consumer and a good understanding of men’s and women’s apparel.
  • Identifies industry trends and assesses customer attitudes to current product range and new product introductions
  • Proposes product enhancements and engagements to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Contributes to create effective market strategies and product roadmaps to determine product positioning, price, promotions and sales channel strategy
Product Development
  • Communicate with external license owners, obtaining approvals to use licensed designs
  • Prepare creative designs for new products and making changes to existing products as needed
  • Obtain approvals on designs from Licensed Sporting Groups and Private Labels
  • Assess quality of product prototypes
Product Launch
  • Able to present product line to internal and external customers.
  • Liaises with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of product launches
  • Manages new product launches, including product release requirements, analyzing ROI, and sampling
  • Conducts product training for internal groups
  • Manages the pre-development to prototype of all respective products
  • Recommends resource allocation to meet annual business targets

Position Outcomes/Objectives and Standards of Performance
  1. Achieves project deliverables within set timelines and within budget.
Product launch plans align with overall strategic objectives of the project. Obtain % increase in sales.
  1. Collaborates with the Sales team to assist with the development of effective strategies that will increase Levelwear’s product lines long-term profitable growth.
Stays abreast of and demonstrates in-depth knowledge of industry trends and topics. Based on knowledge and market data, consistently contributes new and innovative ideas to support sales strategy. Provides training to team members on new product lines.
  1. Ensures brand guidelines are adhered to across all product development.
All designs completed meet expectations for client specific brands. Feedback from clients indicates that accurate, up-to-date designs are used for products.
  1. Builds and maintains strong inter-departmental and external relationships.
Feedback from internal teams indicates an overall positive working relationship with cross-functional teams. Feedback from external stakeholders indicates and overall positive experience working with the Product Manager.

Feedback from Manager, team members, and external customers confirms that the individual consistently demonstrates actions aligned with Levelwear’s values.Qualifications & Skills
  • Post-Secondary education with a focus on Product or Project Management an asset
  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in a product management role is required 
  • Retail / Merchandising knowledge
  • Able to teach potential sales teams on product along with the ability to show the line to customers.
  • Knowledge of Graphic Design and/or Fashion Design an asset
  • Knowledge of Graphic Design software an asset
  • Experience successfully managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong relationship building skills with customers and industry stakeholders; previous sales experience is a plus
  • Advanced market research and analytical skills is required; ability to anticipate market developments and competitor’s moves
  • Ability to initiate and present new opportunities through the New Product Development process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
