The running watch market just got a lot more interesting with the release of the Pacer Pro model from Polar.
The new Polar Pacer Pro is an ultra-light, new-generation GPS running watch with an integrated barometer that equips serious runners with advanced training tools to improve running economy and performance.
Targetting at runners ready to take training to the next level, the Pacer Pro has a new integrated design for improved GPS tracking, training tools you'll actually use, plus personalized recovery and sleep apps that increase your chances of becoming a better runner. With ultra-light design, bright display, and barometer, runners can harness their own power to make every run a good run.
The new watch can track time and distance as well as mark laps, listen to your heart and record your route. It has a new integrated antenna design for improved GPS tracking, original new training tools, plus new feature apps to personalize recovery and sleep.
In addition to running, there are 129 other activities for tracking and training from which to choose. That's substantial.
Polar is really striving to create a watch that athletes will love. For instance, one charge lasts a solid week and up to 100 hours of training time in power saver mode. It also charges very fast. It's light, and athletes will really appreciate the minimalist design. It also features a new collection of eco-conscious wristbands made of upcycled plastic waste.
Other features include an enhanced processor for faster, smoother, more powerful performance and screen transitions and MIP Color Display with a thinner glass lens and improved backlight function.
The Pacer Pro comes in four different colors — Cloud White, Night Black, Deep Teal, or Purple Dusk — and costs a reasonable $200.
